As part of our annual calendar development process, our division builds time into the first semester for inclement weather.

As no inclement weather days have been used to date, the Prince George County School Board has approved the following calendar adjustments during their meeting this week:
- Friday, December 20, 2024: This day will be converted from a regular day of instruction to a holiday for students and division employees. Our schools and offices will reopen following Christmas Break on Monday, January 6, 2025.
For the month of January 2025, the following changes have been approved:
- Monday, January 13, 2025: This day will be converted from a regular day of instruction to a teacher workday. Students will not report to school on this day.
- Tuesday, January 14, 2025: This day will remain a student holiday and convert from a teacher workday to a professional development/teacher workday. Students will not report to school on this day. Staff is expected to participate in their assigned professional development activities on this day.
- Wednesday, January 15, 2025: This day will be converted from a teacher workday/professional development day to a regular day of instruction for students.
For the month of February 2025, the following change has been approved:
- Monday, February 17, 2025: This day will be converted from a regular day of instruction to a holiday for students and division employees. Our schools and offices will reopen following the Presidents’ Day holiday on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Additionally, as a result of this change, interim report distributions will take place on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
